In 1960, brothers Don Sr. and Charlie Strube launched Color Wheel Paints from a small Orlando location. They mixed paint in the backroom with a 50-gallon mill and sold it in the storefront. Their formula for paint also was their formula for success…make quality products specifically for Florida’s severe climate, while treating every customer like a king. Their sons entered the business and helped them grow it to one of the largest, most well respected, independent paint manufacturers in the country. When the family sold Color Wheel in 2006, they had manufactured over 70 million gallons.
